As usual as I was on my way home from the office today and while going through the traffic suddenly it crosses my mind about a book that I used to read quite some time back. It is called the Fish Tales.

Well this came about in view of the circumstances were I am in now whereby the company is in dire need of something to boost the morale spirit of all it's workforce.

This book is written by Stephen C.Lundin, John Christensen and Harry Paul with Philip Strand. This is a book that dipicts real life stories of people who took the initiative to transform their workplace into something exciting. By using the 4 principles as the approach such as "Play", "Make their day", "Be there", and "Choose your attitude" and the end result is something that help to foster a great life at work.

Ultimately what changes did it bring into the entire working life is a result, where quality of life which is much more satisfying and meaningful plus providing a totally new experience to customers both internal and external.

Among the introduction written by the author is that this book about fish tales is richer and more rewarding that made life simple just by the choice that we make from where we are now. It is about change. No doubt this may seem alien to most of us here but after going through the entire chapter it makes sense and contribute to making our work life more meaningful and fun filled together with passion towards our role when there is a fun element attached to it.

No wonder this book gained phenomenal international best seller. After going through it several times I find that the principles that it uses is very basic and is fundamental in real life business that aid to boost the morale as well as generating positive result when we choose to put into trial and practice amongst us.

Indeed, I presumbly take it that it has inspired a lot of organisation throughout where those that embrace and adopt this as one of it's values will flourish and its employees will have a sense of belonging or bonding that is really strong.

Lastly, how I wish that some of this is adopted and applied in my organisation. Infact we have started this intiatives a few months back but the lack of support from the top makes it die a natural cause. How sad it is because the focus of attention is spent so much on developing the business and aligning it that result in the human touch factor becoming scarce. Maybe some other time I will also pen down the thoughts about some observatory findings to share on the reasons of why such businesses fail. The purpose of writing this is not to ridicule any party but more of as a thought sharing so that future entrepreneurs may not fall into the same trap as what my organisation is in right now.

Cheerio...that's my mind boggling issue and wish list if they were to also take the time to read this very interesting book.
